Treasures of Darkness II

When we are unclear and uncalm,
Perhaps, if we chose,

To be still, rather than race,
To follow the opposite of our impulse,

To be unmoved, rather than distracted,
To be alone, rather than accompanied,

To be silent, rather than boisterous,
To listen to ourselves, rather than others,

To peacefully watch our thoughts pass by,
To patiently wait for the mud to settle,

To give ourselves time,
Even, retreat into darkness,

Our truth can be illuminated,
Lighting our path to peace.
