Life as a Practice

We seek happiness, love, and peace,
“Out there,” in a future destination,

Love from another,
Happiness from acquisition,
Peace from accomplishment,

Happiness, love, and peace live within,
Each presently available for you,

Each a journey inward,
Regenerative, endless,

Without destination,
Without arrival,

Each a practice,
A way of being,

If you seek love, practice self-love,
If you seek happiness, practice gratitude,
If you seek peace, practice self-observation,

Practice what you seek, daily,
So it may expand and deepen within you,

Practice consistently,
So you may radiate what you seek
